Russell Preston is a founding member of the practice. His father was the patriarch of the firm and together they created an ethical, successful practice that continues to serve the legal needs of Walton County and North Georgia. He currently serves as general counsel to many municipalities, financial institutions and civic organizations.
Russell has built a strong reputation representing individuals, businesses, hospitals and local governments in a wide variety of real estate law matters. He assists his clients in negotiating real estate transactions, finalizing purchase and sale and refinance agreements, the preparation of contracts and closing of all such transactions.
In addition, Russell specializes in estate planning law. He ensures his clients’ net worth is protected and distributed as they intend. He also helps his clients prepare wills and trusts, establish powers of attorney and outline advance directives for healthcare.
Russell was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1984 after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Georgia and his J.D. degree from the Cumberland School of Law. He is a member of the Walton County Bar Association and the State Bar Association.
A past treasurer of the Alcovy Bar Association and an eight-term past chairman of the Walton County Republican Party, Russell continues to support and engage with his community.
Russell resides in his hometown of Monroe, Georgia.
